This plate held up really well and was in service during the entire rose-red period.  1,011,900 sheets were produced of which only about
140,000 were on blued paper.  Alignment of this plate was very good and copies are well centered.  Rose-red printings began in July of
1857.   Below are examples of re-entry (AC) and a frame line skewed because the letter punch struck close to the side of the check letter square.  The South Kensington Exhibition Proof  of 1872 was taken from this plate.
